| What a Blast // Event 24 April 2012 By: Andrew Cassidy Location: Bayview Twas a strange foggy morn That was weird a little bit For a fluttery north breeze was blowing Down the water they call Pitt. My new DEEP 12'6" and wife ready to go Both claiming first big race All the latest stand up craft on display That were sure to set a record pace. All the standard sledging and laughs With north and south the biggest battle Huge were the numbers of entered SUPs Rounded up for the briefing like cattle. The whistle was blown And we were all on our way Shame the 2.5km race Had no buoy markers on the day. We all made it back Some with times that were great We told a few stories And many sausage was ate. Leigh Robinson.  Kelliegh Jackson.  Greg Hearn.  I need a little sit down.  And maybe a little sausage sandwich.  A good battle fought.  I think I came first.  Well done champ.  Thanks for the challenge.  Talking story.  I was going that way.  I'm just glad that's over.  You wunna go again mate.
